Bitash is an app for trading USDT between people, in group chats. This page says what we keep about you, why, who helps us run Bitash, and what you can ask us to do. Questions go to support@bitash.app.
What we keep
- Your phone number, to sign you in with a code by SMS. Other people never see it.
- Your profile: your @username, picture, country and rank.
- Your ID check. Before you trade, our ID partner checks an identity document and a selfie. We keep your name (encrypted), its initials, the document’s country and details (sealed), and a fingerprint of its number, so one document opens only one account. Other traders see only your initials.
- Payout accounts you add (mobile money or bank numbers and the name on them), shown to a buyer only for the trade they pay.
- Messages and photos you send in groups and trade rooms.
- Trades, ratings, reports, disputes and the evidence sent with them.
- Your USDT balance, your deposit addresses, the addresses you send to, and your deposits and sends. USDT transfers are public on their blockchain.
- Your phones: which phones are signed in (for example “Android 15”), and a token to send them notifications.
- Technical records: crash reports, and the logs our hosting keeps, which include IP addresses.
We do not read your contacts, your location or your other apps. We do not show ads, and we never sell your data.
Why we keep it
- To run Bitash: sign you in, show your chats, hold USDT for a trade and send it where it belongs.
- To keep trades safe: check identities, stop fraud and scams, and settle disputes.
- To answer you when you contact support.
- To keep the records the law asks of us.
Who helps us run Bitash
These companies process data for us, only to provide their service:
- Supabase: our database, sign-in, and photo storage.
- Cloudflare: hosting for our servers and this site.
- Didit: identity document and selfie checks.
- Turnkey: secure keys for the USDT deposit addresses.
- Google Firebase: notifications to your phone.
- Sentry: crash reports.
- An SMS provider, to send sign-in codes.
- Blockchain providers, to read and send USDT transfers.
Other people on Bitash see your @username, picture, rank and ratings, your initials once you are verified, and what you post. A buyer sees the payout account you chose for their trade. We share data with authorities only when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while you have an account. When you delete it, your @username, picture, payout accounts, notification tokens and sign-ins are removed, along with your phone number. If your account was in good standing, so is the name from your ID check. Trade records, ratings, reports, disputes and messages you sent in groups stay, without your name or number, because the other traders and the law need them.
Your choices
- See and change your profile and payout accounts in the app.
- Sign out any phone from Profile, then Signed-in phones.
- Delete your account in the app, or ask us to. See Delete your account.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct it, at support@bitash.app.
Security
Data travels encrypted. Names from ID checks are encrypted at rest, and the keys to deposit addresses never leave Turnkey’s secure hardware. No system is perfectly safe, so we tell you plainly when something goes wrong.
Children
Bitash is for adults, 18 and over. We do not knowingly keep data about children.
Changes
When this policy changes, we update the date at the top, and the app tells you about important changes.
